    System Alignment

We’re pleased to announce that we’re in the final stages of amalgamation. The last step is to incorporate the members of the former LaHave River and Provincial Government Employees Credit Unions into the East Coast Credit Union banking system. This will align our products and services and provide a consistent banking experience for all members, in all branches.

    Important: Service Interruptions

As we take the final steps to bring our Credit Unions together, there will be temporary service interruptions starting February 23rd and completing March 2, 2026. You will continue to have access to our ATM network and your debit card will work as usual throughout this process.

Below is an overview of what’s staying the same, what's new, and a checklist of easy things you can do to keep your account working well.

Letters with important details about your membership, anticipated impacts, and steps to take before, during, and after the integration weekend have been sent to all affected members. If you have not received a letter, please contact us at 1-866-230-7700 or eastcoast@creditu.ca

After system alignment, accounts from all amalgamated credit unions will be managed on one unified banking platform. To understand the full scope of impacts, please review our Frequently Asked Questions page.
