At East Coast Credit Union, we reinvest 10% of our profits directly back into communities across Nova Scotia, and the #Loyal2LocalChallenge is one of the many ways we bring that commitment to life.

Originally launched as an Atlantic Credit Unions initiative during the pandemic, the challenge was created to support local small businesses when they needed it most. Now in its 7th year, the challenge has generated more than $500,000 in local spending across Atlantic Canada, helping strengthen the communities we proudly serve.

Through this challenge, staff and board members are encouraged to support locally owned businesses and community organizations by purchasing a product, service, or gift card. By sharing their experiences on social media, participants highlight the incredible businesses and organizations that help build vibrant, resilient communities across Nova Scotia.
